Shown on this page are four photos (Photo 01 - Photo 04) of the wreck that we believe to be USS Wahoo (SS-238).  They were taken on July 28 and 29, 2006, by a Russian team in a dive at the specific location whose coordinates were previously given to the Russian authorities by the Wahoo Project.  To the best of our knowledge, and in accordance with accepted International Law, the vessel has not been disturbed.

The Wahoo Project does intend to dive on the site, but only after all proper diplomatic procedures have been followed.  During that dive, we will abide entirely by the regulations as stipulated by the
U.S. Naval Historical Center.
